The Team -- QA Team

The QA Team is critical to the success of delivering the highest quality of products to our partners. The team achieves this through cross-collaboration to grow, maintain, and be responsible for the testing of SigFig’s products. QA strives to improve test coverage while ensuring standard methodologies and best practices are followed that will ensure reliable and efficient testing. As quality champions, the team is empowered to ensure SigFig product integrations with our large enterprise customers run smoothly.

The Opportunity -- Lead Partner QA Engineer

As a Lead Partner QA, you lead the team that develops & extends test automation frameworks for UI, Microservices & APIs, Data Quality, security, and performance. You provide leadership in analysis, optimization, improvement, and maintenance of test automation frameworks for UI, Microservices & APIs, Data Quality, security, and performance. Work with Test Automation Team Members to leverage existing automation assets and develop new ones. Ensure compliance to automation framework, standards & best practices. You'll work directly with our clients to assure the highest caliber of quality assurance. This role will report to the Senior Manager of QA with extensive cross-functional interaction across the entire SigFig organization.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead complex cross-team Enterprise (B2B) projects
  • Lead, mentor, a small team of QA engineers
  • Maintain a positive relationship with Enterprise (B2B) clients
  • Create and Maintain Test Documentation
  • Report defects and monitor defects quality of other team members
  • Responsible for gathering metrics for the project and delivering this information to leadership
  • Ensuring that everyone is on task, productive, and progress being made based on the given timelines
  • Assess QA load during Sprint Planning Meetings
  • Closely work with the Automation team to ensure automation goals are met
  • Work closely with the Accessibility team to ensure inclusion of such testing
  • Debug defects in any area of the tech stack
  • Escalate defect reports and critical issues
  • Work closely with the Product Owners and Technical Project Managers to prioritize defect resolution
  • Drive quality processes improvements within the QA Team
  • Ensure proper test coverage and testability within development sprints
  • Drive QA sprint planning/resourcing
  • Plan for QA resources throughout the development cycle to provide proper QA support for the various milestones and deliverables
  • Coordinate testing between geographically diverse teams
  • Participate in the testing effort as a senior individual contributor
  • Regularly participate in Business Client meetings with various stakeholders and be able to maintain clear verbal and written communications with them

Ideal SigFigian for this Role

  • BS or MS — in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer, preferably at an enterprise SaaS organization,
  • At least 2 years of experience leading a team of QA engineers
  • At least 1 year of experience in being the main driver of Client-facing scenarios
  • Great Multitasking skills
  • Great Context switching skills
